Commissioning Project Engineer

As a Commissioning Project Engineer at Reliance, you will operate as part of a project team that delivers new and modified systems that are safe, functional, and meet design requirements and regulations.  This is a full-time position that reports to the Cx Validation Manager and is in Indianapolis, IN.

Primary responsibilities of the position include:

  • Work with the Commissioning Project Manager to evaluate project scope of work.
  • Author validation documentation and protocols as necessary (RV, IV, IOQ, OQ, PQ), as well as document template, and validation strategies.
  • Plan and coordinate commissioning deliverables with the Technical Writer, Project Manager, Client, and Project Team to deliver a successful project. 
  • Execute tasks to meet/exceed project schedule and deliver within budget. 
  • Execute commissioning and qualification protocols, as needed, and write summary reports. Use test equipment if necessary, during protocol execution. 
  • Develop monthly status reports for projects and tasks. 
  • Attend client meetings and represent Company at all times with professionalism and a commitment to quality. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs. 
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of all duties and tasks assigned. 
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Company Management.

  • Initiative to take on complex and challenging projects.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects in different phases.
  • Experience and understanding of Pharmaceutical Process Equipment and 2-3 years working in a cGMP environment is a plus. 
  •  Basic understanding of Data Integrity and Quality Procedures

  • Education:  Bachelor/Associate Degree in Engineering or STEM.
  • Capital Project Delivery/Construction, Document Management.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean MVR.
  • Basic working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
